Prospects gave fake first names

Today, I checked a list from my customer.
He's happy with the traffic and leads acquired from Pintopus.
He gets 12 to 14 leads from Pintopus a day, and it's growing.
The thing is, his prospects don't want to leave their first name in the opt-in form.

I recommended two things to him:
#1: It's normal for people not to leave their first name.
They're interested, but not comfortable enough to leave their first name to a stranger like you.
My suggestion is to remove the first name field from the opt-in form.
Once they get to know you better and feel comfortable, they can update their first name later on.
By doing this, you will most likely have way more leads than before.
(Some people won't opt in because they have to type in their first name.)
#2: Now, you have leads. What's next?
You need to send them to your community with good posts to build trust.
(Without trust, they won't even tell you their first name, right?)
When you have trust from people, you can promote your offers.
What do you think about the suggestions I gave him?
